  1. Good grief!

Since the govt is being so generous I want the them to pay for half of my airline tickets, too! But really, I just want the govt (us) to stop paying for any portion of anyone's ticket.

  3. You have to be kidding about this airport! All that money wasted for an airport and no one using it? Something is wrong with that picture!!!! Don’t worry about the hungry and homeless or the schools. We need an expensive airport that is never used. This is pure BS!!!!!

  4. Like frivolous lawsuits, pork legislation should be fined. Hit them in their own private pocket books.

  5. The airport has been brought to you by the center of the ABSCAM (Arab Scam)payoff chief that the clinton administration AKA reno would not prosecute. Isn’t it amazing that crooks run this country and they complain about Veterans being Right Wing Extremists. How about loading an airplane with obama, reid, clinton, pelosi, schumer, dodd, frank, feinstein, boxer and the rest of the crooks and send it to iran. They can all sit around and sing cumbya if the arabs don’t shoot it down enroute.

  9. And who, praytell, would vote for the term limits and mandatory retirement? The same politicians who took Social Security out of a trust and filled up the general funds coffer, rendering SS insolvent? The same morons that vote themselves healthy pay raises, guaranteed retirement funds, expensive European trips, ad nauseum? Now, I ask again, who is going to repeal any of this absurd spending?

  13. Have any of these people flown in and out of Johnstown? Why shouldn’t Johnstown have a safe airport? Where do airports get most of their funds? Where do other forms of transportation in America get most of their funds?

  14. Typical congressman thinking “We know what’s best for you” and attitude of I’ll take care of myself. If our Reps and Senators were in the Social Security system if would be flush with money. They are not. Their “retirement” is the ability to collect the pay they get “serving” us for life – even after they leave office. There should be term limits for them at the Fed level, but guess what? They won’t allow it. It would take a constitutional amendment! Same ol stuff….

  15. Disgusting, shameful, and that this is allowed a continual infusion of money is dreadful. It’s time to vote out the people that made this possible! Clean the slate and get rid of corporate lobbyists.

  16. Murtha is an old, insane, unrighteous sob who should be in jail and a straight jacket. This is just more evidence for the conviction.

Term limits is too good for reps like him. He should have never been voted in and should have been impeached. Shame on his constituents.

  17. Same old crap—when are we honest law-abiding-tax paying citizens going to band together and force this insane spending to stop. The arabs can march-the mexicans can march-the african americans can march–but the rest of us white americans just sit on our butts and complain. All the commentators on fox news complain and tell us to be independent but are afraid of their jobs so they don’t lead us.

  32. My question is, where were the news agencies while this was being built?
Or did it just sprout up overnight?
Maybe if the public were made aware of this stuff before the fact, we could embarrass the bums enough to cancel some of these “pork-barrel” projects.
Remember the Bridge to Nowhere? (Oh, my bad, they took the money anyway and used it on some other worthless project)
    Kudos to FedUp, May 7!!!!

  33. Absolutely disgusting but why should it come as a surprise. It is done every day by all members of Congress and the Senate.
The American voter is to blame for all those members who are serving more than two terms. The American voter in general is stupid and uninformed, like the guy who says Murtha is a good man because he doesn’t have a line at the airport. The cure for Washington politicians is
    try’em, convict’em and hang’em.
